Fernwell started on a kitchen counter in 2019, blending sleep teas for friends who couldn't find anything on a shelf that actually worked. Word spread slowly, the way good things do, and a hobby became a small apothecary with its own drying room and a waitlist most seasons.
Every formula still starts the same way: a problem someone brought to us, and months of testing before it's ready to share. We grow what we can in Ojai and source the rest from small, organic farms we've worked with for years.

Orders ship within 2–3 business days. Most batches are made to order, so teas and tinctures are always fresh when they leave Ojai. Standard shipping takes 3–6 business days within the continental US; free shipping applies automatically on orders over $50.
Yes — everything is organically grown or ethically wildcrafted. Full ingredient lists and any allergen information are printed on every label and listed on each product page. If you have a specific sensitivity, reach out before ordering and we're happy to walk through a formula with you.
For safety reasons we can't accept returns on opened teas, tinctures, or body care. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you expected, contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right with a replacement or refund.
Not yet, though it's frequently requested and on our list. For now, the easiest way to reorder is through the same product page — most people restock their tea or tincture every 4–6 weeks.
No. Our products are wellness and lifestyle products, not medications, and haven't been evaluated by the FDA. They're not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Please talk to your doctor before use if you're pregnant, nursing, or managing a health condition.
